THE FRIDAY THREE

STRESS. NUTRITION. HORMONES.

Three ideas for working in sync with yourself

Hi Reader

Three things for your Friday: one for stress, one for hormones, one for nutrition.

STRESS - Minimum Viable Health

Your health routine needs a version that works when life doesn't.

When work gets busy, trying to maintain every habit can turn looking after yourself into another job.

Choose the few things that make the biggest difference to how you function: perhaps sleep, proper meals and movement.

Protect the foundations before worrying about optimisation.

NUTRITION - Healthy... Until It Isn't

A behaviour isn't healthy simply because it looks healthy.

Meal prep can support you. Tracking can educate you. Exercise can make you stronger.

But the same behaviours can become rigid, stressful or inappropriate for the season you're in.

Don't only ask “Is this healthy?”

Ask: “Is this healthy for me, in the way I'm doing it now?”

HORMONES - The Season Check

What your body needs isn't fixed.

Your workload changes. Training changes. Sleep changes. Your cycle may change. The routine that supported you six months ago may not be the right one now.

Periodically ask: Does the way I'm living still support the body I'm living in?

Changing your approach isn't failure. It's responding to new information.

Which one did you need this week?

If life got ridiculously busy next week, what are the three things you'd protect to keep yourself well?

Hit reply with your three. No explanation needed.

With care and wellness,

Cat

STRESS - The Course Correction Being well doesn't mean never getting overwhelmed. It means noticing when something isn't working and adjusting before you travel too far in the wrong direction. A bad week doesn't require a complete reset. Notice. Adjust. Continue. NUTRITION - The Next Meal One meal doesn't need...

STRESS - Borrowed Urgency Someone else's urgency doesn't automatically need to become yours. A client, colleague or manager may need something quickly. Sometimes it genuinely is urgent. Sometimes you're simply absorbing the pressure with which the request arrived. Before reacting, separate the two: Is this...

THE FRIDAY THREE STRESS. NUTRITION. HORMONES. Three ideas for working in sync with yourself Hi Reader Three things for your Friday: one for stress, one for hormones, one for nutrition. STRESS - The Capacity Question Having time for something doesn't mean you have capacity for it. A free evening after a demanding day at work is technically available. But if you're already mentally and physically depleted, filling that space may cost more than it gives you. Before saying yes, ask: Do I have...
